Also, I really, REALLY hope all of those drills Brady brought to Baton Rouge for our wide receivers are kept. The blinders being used, the throwing the ball into doorways, etc.
The progress they showed in the drops, route running, etc. was insane. These drills clearly made a difference.

Not melting at all but thanks for your projection
You’ve made 30 posts in this thread making sure everyone here knows how terrible of a hire this is going to be.
That qualifies as a melt. A pretty significant one.

What does he bring to the table then?

Here are the highlights from Linehan at Dallas.
1. Simplified the offense to the point that each receiver only ran 2-3 routes and the defense knew pre-snap exactly what was about to be run. The is a quote from Des, Terrence Williams, Beasley, etc.
2. He refused to scheme against teams. Instead he said 'here is what we do well this is what we are doing where the other team knows it or not.'
3. He has personality issues that Dallas radio mentioned numerous times. He would get rid of any coach under him that did not think exactly like him. By the end of his time in Dallas, the offensive staff was a bunch of yes mean.
4. He would freak out at Romo and Dak when they would change the plays. It seemed like he really could not handle being wrong or someone else being right.
I am being honest when I say this, he shouldn't have been hired on as an analyst here let alone the to a coaching position. I will trust O that he has a plan, but damn this is a gut punch.

Right at most its a co-oc role.
It's what o said. That he got along well with e.
I honestly don't love the hire but it's not a program ender because you still have e and Brady's concepts from last year.
Does anyone have proof of who they "actually" interviewd?
And why did he pass on the other candidates

I don’t know this dude and I am not familiar with what his philosophy is. I know we run the Saints passing game and wish we would have picked someone from the Sean Payton line. I wish we would have gotten someone that knows the Saints passing scheme. I would be More Excited to have another offensive assistant from the Saints that no one ever heard of than to have an old stale retread that knows nothing of the offensive philosophy that we and the Saints run. I hope I am wrong. I really hope I eat crow. This guy isn’t a Sean Payton disciple so I really am disappointed.

I like it. He's done some good work with QBs in the past.

Just go to the up-and-coming young innovative football coach that no one else has grabbed tree and pick one.

Again you’re lying. I made a post saying he’s not good then was attacked by childish Rantards and defended myself since. I also gave reasons and facts why he’s not good which you haven’t countered.

So much for young, innovative, & someone than can recruit a 17/18 yr old kid.
Should hire Jeff Fisher as well if we are going for nfl failures.
I'm trying to decide if I should agree with this, and be angry about the hire. Or, I don't know, maybe I'll give the national championship winning football coach the benefit of the doub...

Well, the offense is installed. He’s not coming in to recreate something that doesn’t exist. He’s a passing game coordinator calling plays in certain situations.
He’s NOT the OC.
At this point, he brings NFL experience and QB coaching to the table. I’m not one of tyou psychos that immediately label something a failure without seeing what the plan and the execution turns out to be like some people around here.

Nobody bashed Brady,

So again more false narratives from the “since Orgeron hires him he’s become good” crowd.
The team just ended a record season and because our COTY hired a former NFL HC and OC to a position we didn’t even think about a few years ago folks are registering their skepticism. Just seems that maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt, just this once.
Apparently the one stint as an actual PGC he ranked 7th at the absolute highest level of football, so there’s that.

I’ve countered plenty.
You’ve called people pumpers within five of your posts in this thread. You’re in nuclear mode at this point.

My co-worker just told me to get used to seeing only dig routes

No you haven’t and you’re still projecting.
