I dont think four conf wins is gonna do it. I think if we drop 2 more thats a wrap. 14 is the magic # I think. Not like it matters though. No shot at Omaha this year. Super regional is the absolute ceiling imo.

We missed the sec tourney that year. We won’t miss it this year. Gives us a chance to improve our conference record.

This teams schedule will not end up 1. That team was in the 30 SOS or so BUT they were 11–17 vs Quad 1’s better than this shitty 7-14. Their records will end up nearly identical with how the 2011 team finished if they finish 2/3 at Bama and 2/3 at TAMU to go 13-17 with a loss to Tech.

Crazy how big the difference between 14-16 and 13-17 is when you look at it. Odds drop from 61% to make a regional to 36%. Need a sweep against Bama or A&M to get to 14 wins and feel comfortable but that’s pretty unlikely.
I think the magic number is 7, including the SECt
•go 6-0 in SEC and beat La Tech then doesn’t matter what we do in SECt.
•finish 5-1 (14-16) in SEC, win the midweek games and prob don’t need to do anything in Hoover
•go 4-2 in the SEC, win both midweek games, then win a SECt game and we’ll barely sneak in at 13-17 because of RPI.

If LSU finishes 13-17 in conference, they won't be in yet. They'll have to win at least a game in the SEC Tournament. That means we'll have to beat someone better than us in the single-elimination first round.

They lose to Tech and finish 13-17 and they are done if you use 2011 as a barometer at all. The RPI in 2011 will end up better and their winning percentage of 65 skunks this shitty team’s of 50% (7/14) against quad 1’s. The RPI doesn’t save this bunch with a 13-17 record. Better run to the SEC Tournament final or be out.

Do we really want to go to the Ruston regional and get stomped by Tech? That might not help recruiting, but I guess not making the tourney kinda kills recruiting too. Damn, no good options when you suck!!!

Nobody is enjoying this season. The last couple of years there has only been a handful of mainieri apologists and all but one of those will now tell you they agree it’s time for a change. And the one who is still a Mainieri apologist has gone into hiding as far as I can tell.

bullshite this team can win a regional. But it will have to earn the right to be there which I believe will be more difficult. Hilliard, as our typical weekday game starter would have beaten Tech but not sure who CPM will pitch. We have 3 pitchers that would shut down tech. We have others that can win but they will have to have a good day. Tech has a better chance of beating us this week than if we make their regional.

Depends on who we draw honestly. Possible against lower national seed regionals. Draw a Arkansas, vandy, Texas, miss st. Sort of region I don’t see it. Realistically, I don’t see us winning 2 games in a regional.
