Entire videoAwesome old video of game day at LSU. Enjoy!!! LINK

I have this video recorded to an old BetaMax tape from when I was in hign school in Kentucky. A lot of my friends saw it and I was able to preach to them the Gospel of Purple and Gold. I absolutely LOVE this old documentary!

This is what made me determined to leave the state of Kentucky when I graduated high school and play in The Golden Band from Tigerland. And again, because of this documentary I was able to live the dream of being a Tiger!

Thanks for the post! You really made my day!

Was my freshman year, we chanted "use them once and throw them away, hose 'em tigers hose 'em".

Those were the days. A bunch of real fans in the stadium instead of people who show up to take selfies and say they went to the game.

What a great trip back in time. The days of LSU-Tulane wheelbarrow races and when practically every small town in La had a chartered bus to Tiger Stadium. This and my Dad is what roped me in and made me a raving lunatic as a kid. Nothing was bigger than LSU football! Thx for posting!

I took one from Shreveport. Seems like the package for game and transportation was $25.00.

That's the damn truth. It has never been louder than the Notre dame game in '74 or so and I've been to a lot of games before and since then. The crowd has gotten bigger, but not louder.

I have wanted that van since this documentary first came out! I also want to paint my house like the one here!
