You saw a LSU coach at a high school football game? Great story
His comment is more valuable than yours. Could choose to just keep scrolling.
I am encouraged to hear our OC sitting with pop's mom. Anyone's guess if he will still be here by the time pop gets to campus, but shows we are invested in the recruit.

I imagine you went up to him to say hello and he was gracious enough to give you his time. Then you decided to post the story here and talk shite about him.
Now if you gathered anything interesting from the conversation and shared it, that would make sense.

At this rate the whole coaching staff will be enjoying their severance pay in two years, and Pop will be at Texas…..
Typical Rant nega-tiger. Texas went from the top to all the way out of the polls by mid-season. And you think the kid flips to them over 1 loss by our guys.

The issue with Sloan's offense is that he is designing it for a dual-threat quarterback, but Nuss lacks the ability to handle that style due to his fragility. A good offensive coordinator should be able to adapt the offense to suit their quarterback's skill set, and this is where Sloan falls short. In my opinion, his offense will improve next year, especially with a more experienced offensive line.

Yes, by all means, Les should have been fired for a 13-1 season

Actually smartass, I didn't have to go up to him at all. He and Pop's mom were sitting right in front of me.
I was talking to a few local HS quarterbacks who came to watch the game since it was on a Thursday night.
One of the boys recognized him...I didn't at first.....and said hey isn't that Joe Sloan?
Sloan heard him and turned around and smiled at us. I was in full LSU gear and he said Go Tigers and asked me if I was a grad...told him yes class of 84.
I asked him about Nuss and the injury...he said he was coming along and should be close to 100% on Saturday.
Asked if we were going to use MVB more....he said they were working toward giving him more opportunities.
Asked why the run game was struggling so much...he said they were working on technique and playing to the strength of the line.
Theres the rest of the story in a nutshell take it or leave it. I don't like the SOB and think he should be fired but I was civil because I'm not a democrat.

Probably trying to learn something from the high school offenses
Posted on 10/6/25 at 10:54 am to saltytiger2
Or maybe from the mom. She probably could call a better offensive game plan.

Just to recap here...
- Sloan gave you a geaux tigers and recognized you're a fan
- You then asked him multiple questions about the program, which he was nice enough to answer
- You came to TD to post that you met him. Humblebrag.
- In those posts, you question his skill, and then doubled down by calling him a "son of a bitch", presumably because you don't like how he runs the offense.
- And you're not a democrat. Because you think democrats have low moral character. Right.

Sloan would immediately embarrass the majority of the folks here if they tried to talk scheme or playcalling with him.
Especially if they started in on muh can't run RPO's with non running quarterbacks.

Why do people continue to echo this dumb take?

Hopefully he pitch is: "Hey I need a mobile, normal-IQ QB so bad my family depends on Pop making it to campus."

Why this bothers you?
What about this offense makes you believe it's geared towards a dual threat quarterback?

Don't answer a question with a question.

lol at the 43 downvotes. Sloan calls plays like he’s playing a video game. Dude is arrogant and not long for the conference.
