Q: You started to lose weight after the 2011 season. What do you weigh now? A: 230. I was in the 315-to-320 range when I played. About 85 pounds.

Lost 70 lbs in less than four months, that's crazy.

Good for him.

yes he looks pretty fit to me. Much better for your long term health to be thin, exercising aerobically, and eating right. Especially for your joints after all those hard on the body years in the NFL and carring all that extra weight around

I lost 75# in a little over 4 months. In less than 5 months prior I had 6 ByPass surgery and a stroke. Take my advice all of those who over do eating and drinking whiskey daily, don't do it! Started at 261#, weighed 198 this morning. Remind me to show you my 5 scar chest sometimes, you'll thank me.

He has lived in T-town for quite some time. I've always admired his "frugal" living considering the cash he has.

He and Matt Newchurch (former LSU player from EDW) are very close and Matt said he enjoyed the anonymity.

He was never "fat". I saw him at a party in Thibodaux during his playing days and he was ripped. No gut at all. Not at all what you think a top tier NFL lineman would look like.

Yeahhh...good guy, lives down the street from the in-laws. Talked to him a few times. Just a normal dude.

Buddy of mine in Thibodaux had some pretty serious fire damage to his house, right near the Faneca's house. Alan and his wife let my friend and his family live in their house while all the repairs were done, and it took a pretty long time. The Fanecas were good people to have here in town, took part in civic events/fundraisers, etc.

Weight loss is effect of medicine for epilespy that he never took during his playing career.

Guys, if you are fat and overweight, think about the Veggan diet.

8 months actually and didn't charge him anything, well, didn't let him give him the insurance money he was getting.

BS. he took meds when he played. You could not be more wrong. those meds can cause weight gain also!
