Agreed. You pay for your seat....why not use it some? I generally like to stand at key junctures in the game but not during timeouts, etc. STF down so people who are too old/young can see.
But of course the fricks that wanna stand the whole time are the same ones who will say "its my ticket, I'll leave in the first quarter if I want!"

Old frickers like you should be banned in the stadium then. You're either so old and decrepit that you don't need to be there or lazy.

I'm 32.

I just prefer sitting down to enjoy a game. I don't stand while I watch movies. Do you?

You've got to be shitting me right? As if that's the same thing. In my experience people who sit in games are usually devoid of energy and kill the atmosphere in the stadium. I'm glad you don't go to games anymore. Like standing up and raging with energy is something negative, right? Only way I'm sitting is if someone politely asks me from behind or they have a disability or kid they can't put on their shoulders.

I got asked to sit down last night from a couple of rows behind. Guy said "its 1st down, give us break." I obliged but I turned around and gave a smirk.

Being forced to stand the entire game is why I haven't attended an LSU game in nearly 10 years and why I likely never will again unless I get suite tickets.

So are you old, fat, or both. BTW sat in the south stadium clubs twice this year and they stand and cheer there. Best place in the stadium where you can buy alcohol

Its all in the attitude friend. I dont ask people to sit even when they're being dicks about it...its their right. People that turn around and scream/curse at you when you ask them to sit politely are not anymore a "true fan" than anyone else. Those are the kind of people I don't mind "helping" sit down.

I graduated LSU in 1960. You are a silly prick if you think I am not a "real fan" - and yes, when I was in the student body section, I stood and yelled and made noise all game long.

But I grew up. you are just a nitwit. enjoy your childhood. And by all means don't go to a game when you are 77. You would be depriving some dirtbag of a seat.

Shut up, grandpa.

So it's not OK to sit and yell and clap? You assume people that don't stand the entire game are not cheering at all.

I don't care if someone stands before the play or after the play. If you stand before the play, I know to stand, cool. I can't stand the self-centered fricker who jumps up in front of me without warning when the ball is in the air.

I been fighting this for decades in my section. When I was younger almost led to a throw-down but the punk backed down.

I'm too old for that now, so I usually stoop low and try not to block anyone's view.

But did have a guy at the Bama game tell me it's O.K. to stand on third down only. Pissed me off and I was respectable but told him this was Bama he was going to have to adjust.

My standard line is " this is a football game, not a movie theater". But, true story, yrs ago LSU was playing the weenies in the Dome, I was literally in the second to last rop at the top and some weenie, sitting behind me IN the last row, told me the same thing. Just pointed to the scoreboard; it was another LSU blowout.

I stand if the folks in front of ME stand. I really do want to watch the game ya know. Sorry if you are behind me and won't stand up to see the game because I WILL stand so I can see the game.

Reading this thread makes me not want to attend LSU games once I can no longer get tickets in the student section. Sounds like a snooze fest sitting with a bunch of fat ritzie pricks judging from some of these responses.

This must be what people are referring to with the pricing out of the middle class. Sounds like only the cheese and wine crowd is attending and perhaps the lure of TS will die along with these boring bitching fans. If you aren't there to stand and cheer on the team then WTF to you even attend the games for? Your lazy asses would be much more happy at home laying down in front of a big screen HDTV. You can even fall asleep during the game if you'd like

It's not really that good for anyone to sit on their arse for 3+ straight hours in a confined space and it's not the best thing to stand for 3+ straight hours, so a little of both should be expected. But you can't expect to control people sitting in front of you. It's a college football game.
