Being forced to stand the entire game is why I haven't attended an LSU game in nearly 10 years and why I likely never will again unless I get suite tickets.
i for one am VERY glad you don't go. Sounds like you would definitely be a waste of a ticket.

Home opener of 2008 season, the whole stadium is standing(as they customarily do) as the team runs out onto the field...guy behind me nudges me and tells me to sit down because his son can't see(kid is about 10).

I turn around and ask if he is serious, and he's like "yeah, it's my kid's first game." I laugh and tell him to look around, everybody in the entire stadium is standing and that if there is an expected time to stand, this is it. He keeps on and on and on and finally I had enough and told him his kid may not be able to see the field but he'll have a great view of his dad's arse whooping.

He goes and gets the marshall because I said arse...everybody around me was yelling at the guy the entire game...everytime LSU scored I would turn around and ask if it's ok to stand.

Stay out of the seats for real fans

I graduated LSU in 1960. You are a silly prick if you think I am not a "real fan" - and yes, when I was in the student body section, I stood and yelled and made noise all game long.

But I grew up. you are just a nitwit. enjoy your childhood. And by all means don't go to a game when you are 77. You would be depriving some dirtbag of a seat.

So all it takes to NOT be considered a lazy person is just standing?

Only time I'll somewhat listen or move over is if there is an old person/couple behind me. Everyone else should be able to stand

I can understand someone asking the guy to sit down in the middle of the first quarter, but the second to last possession.

I mean, come on! You should expect people to stand during that situation in the game.

And if the lady was 80 years old or a mother with a child, that's different too.

So we probably need more details to the story before we start blasting each other.

I'm 6'3" and I stand the entire game. It's my right as a true fan to do so. Some old man tapped me on the shoulder and asked me to sit, that his wife couldn't see. I turned around and saw the old lady in a walking boot. Told him to walk his arse out the stadium and to STTDB. Real fans stand.

Thanks, brother

LSU scored a TD and she started crying because she missed it. One of my favorite game memories.

I'm not, and I leaned in and tried to keep it out of earshot of his son. I guess you're one of those who likes to sit during the National Anthem

I will never forget the first time I took my wife to an LSU game (she is from Houston) she didn't understand how BIG LSU home games are. I remember LSU scored and I was jumping up slapping high fives with everyone around me and she says, "Sit down, you are embarrassing me!" I replied, "Sit down?? You are embarrassing me- there are 90,000 + people standing and you are embarrassing me!!" Afterwards I think she finally got the message...

Your own wife embarrassed you by not standing? Really? Are you still married?
