I always assumed lane had underlying intentions to do all this for that act to pass. Saban probably has approved of everything he’s been doing

As I understand it there are only Civil penalties with the act…..federal laws are receive TROs and injunctive relief all the time….so what’s going to be functionally fixed by passing the law???

I think LSU is being careful since their leaders are being sued and they tried to use, "imagine if we had pro players." in the lawsuit against them.

I think it's highly possible, but at the same time, life happens while you're making other plans. Small chance, but LSU really could get screwed on this. All it takes is a couple of university presidents with an ax to grind against LSU and the landscape of college football is changed forever.

Not sure. Congressional involvement seems kind of like a two-edged sword.
