LSU fans are weak now, even compared to a decade ago. 2007 Florida was loudest in my memory. I don't expect it will ever be matched. Fan base is so much different now - in a worse way IMO.

Game Saturday will be every bit as loud as any game any ‘back in the day’ poster thinks mights be louder, though. And I’m probably more ‘back in the day’ than any of them.
The good thing is, even if they’ve always been ‘social events’ tiger fans can make a game at Tiger Stadium like nothing else, when it has to be.

What he said. My hearing has never been right after USC ‘79. Smaller number crowd but there must have been 25,000 students there.

Make it as load as LSU/ USC in 1979 or the Orange Bowl game against Florida State in 1983 and every fan will be happy. I do know there have been equally load crowds since but those two games were off the charts for me.

All depends on how the game goes. If the players come to play and stay in and don’t let Bana get a foothold and pull away, yes it could be pretty loud- I dare say however that it won’t/can’t be louder than those of the past.
