Is he far enough from his past issues to get another HC gig? He may very well be a guy that never excels as a HC but is a great coordinator.
I watched his play-calling and pre-snap movements last night and thought I was watching a different game vs what we were doing on offense. I'm not advocating for this guy to come to LSU as HC but I think he's the best play-caller in CFB. Yes...it helps when you have the talent he has to work with. Honestly, coaching is about maximizing the talent you have and getting them into the best position to succeed.
Pellini has been schooled by far less talent but last night was like Sark was sending in the defense he wanted Pellini in before he called the play. Hopefully Sark goes elswhere after season. I share that same setiment for Pellini.

With the first round QB, RBs, WRs, and OL any OC looks good.

Mac Jones development under him has been impressive.

It's Saban.
It's Saban's system, his expectations, his communication with his coordinators, the routines and protocols he's put in place, etc.
We've seen countless former coaches roll through Tuscaloosa and the result is generally the same: they do well at Alabama, get hired elsewhere, and then don't do quite as well. Under Saban, and with all that talent, they can thrive.
Alabama has experienced massive staff turnover over the last 3-4 years, yet despite all of that, nothing changes. Alabama continues to dominate every year.
It's because it all starts with the head coach.

Mac Jones is a "program" QB IMO and has a coach that puts him in position to make plays. I do agree with you and said as much in OP but I also see the genius of what Sark does, irrespective of the fact he does it for Bama.

With that o-line, any coordinator would look good

That's right our team is a reflection of our head coach

I will take High Freeze over Sarksian any day.
Freeze was at Ole Miss 3 Years and beat Saban 2 times.
If you can’t get Freeze, I would go get Joe Brady!!! No Buyout 6 million a year. End the buyout. Why do we have to have a but out. Where in BR does it cost to live for 6 million a year. The money he would be saving is like Double Gordon McKernan, and all personal injury doctors.

No. You don’t ever get over being an alcoholic and his fall at USC was disastrous. He’s great as an OC, but the pressure of being an SEC head coach is many levels higher.

Joe Brady and a dialed in QB. You have seen the results of that right????

If you think your comments have any impact on decision makers at LSU you are stupid.
What a completely irrelevant response

I think his success has a lot more to do with bama having stud O lineman and receivers. Mac Jones is hardly ever pressured. He has a good arm but I don’t see him doing what he does now in the nfl.

Alcoholism is a disease and a lifelong addiction. Anyone who’s recovered can tell you that it doesn’t just go away. I hope Sark is good the rest of his life because it was clear that he went off the rails pretty hard at USC. That said, why be the school that takes that risk when there are other candidates who don’t come with the baggage?

Two question that need to be asked,
1. Will the pressures of a HC subvert his recovery?
2. Does he still eat boogers on the sideline?
