I'll blame it on not running simple freaking plays to him.

We should have given him the ball 6-8 times a game and should have used him like Skyler or Sproles.

Middle Screens, HB Bubble Screens, quick slants, etc.

The fact that we didn't utilize him correctly infuriates me.

I wish he would become a graduate assistant, and work his way to a full member of our coaching staff. He is a tremendous Ambassador for the University and he has already proven to be a Great Recruiter!

I like Shep and all, but what would he coach? TEs?

Maybe, but he would never let on to that. He had that brief moment after the BCSNCG last year, understandably, but he's been an incredible ambassador for this school all the way through.

great talent super athlete Tigers struggled to find the right fit for him in our offense. Just happens sometimes, no need to assign fault. Think it just worked out that way. I will be cheering for him on senior day.

I believe his freshman year was a mess that and major ripple effects. We had him playing way too many positions that year.

I still think that given the right team that he could be a good weapon in the league.

Fact.

We'll miss you, Shep. Break one for us on Saturday.

4 years ago I thought Shepard would win a heisman. I feel so bad for him. He's got the talent watch his high school video. Wish he would have went to oregon. I'm glad he brought sam over though.

All this talk about Shep. I am beginning to believe the Rant is gospel.....envisioning the team, a la Rudy, marching into Miles' office, throwing jerseys on the desk, demanding Shep become a feature back in the last game.

I truly hope for the best for him, seems like he has matured a lot.

I agree. He has done amazing things for the school. Wish more guys were like him and I hope to see him in the league or on the coaching staff at LSU.

You can tell he put work in during the offseason. He is much stronger now than he has been. That stiff arm he had against bama surprised me. I think if he had gotten that strength a year earlier we might have seen more of him in the backfield... In a more traditional sense then he has been used in the past.

I personally feel like he was a huge part of what became a flood of recruits to LSU. He got loston and that swayed others interest towards us. Love that dude. He deserves alot of pt from here on.
