Sam needs to add Dr. Bob Rotella to his team! Dr. Bob works wonders for those who need a lil mental advantage to get them to the finish line!

That is unfortunate what happened to him on the final day at the British Open.
I feel pretty bad for the guy, but to say what happened to him this year at the British is unfortunate would be incorrect. He played poorly. Yeah, I know, easy for me to say because I’m not a professional golfer, but all he has to do is shoot -1 on the day and he wins. But then again, I’m not a professional golfer, what do I know?
He made a late charge at the U.S. too on the first nine of the final round. Then kinda faltered on the second nine when he could’ve stolen the tournament from a genuine dickhead piece of shite that people were begging to lose and he couldn’t close it out.
The U.S. open last year wasn’t so much unfortunate as it was a complete bullshite rulings fricking by an official after a lengthy delay. I think if that delay doesn’t happen, he wins it. But the great ones don’t let shite like a delay or a poor ruling destroy their round when it’s nut-cutting time.
Right now, he’s got to develop a killer mentality, one that he locks the hell in and bears down when it’s time to make a crucial shot or putt. He doesn’t have it.
I want him to finish with a career grand slam and think he’s certainly capable of that and more, but he’s yet to shut the door on opponents in majors and if you leave the door open, you’re going to lose.

Scottie had it , but now can't seem to reproduce it. Same with Rory and Speith.
Lol wtf is this? Scottie and Rory have forgotten how to win? This is lunacy.

I dont think it's mentally. He just keeps coming up short and its mostly bad breaks and luck. The weather took him out in 2025 or he would be a US champion already. Same for the 2022 Players Championship.

Sam got two bad breaks on the two back nine par 5's that cost him the two shots he needed to tie. First one was the 2nd shot into 14 green.....one straight bounce or 6 inches further right from 250 yds and he makes birdie or better. On 17 he hit the best drive I saw hit and he got the worst bounce right and into deep fescue, while we watched over and over worse tee shots go rig and further into the rough and had clean lies. After watching Sam's drive on 17 on Scottie's drive on 17, seeing where they landed, I would have bet a lot of money that Scottie would not have beat Sam on that hole....but that is the Open tournament. It is 50% who gets the best bounces, from good shots and really poor shots.

I asked ChatGPT to list every golfer under the age of 30 with 5 or more PGA Tour wins.
The only name that came back was Sam Burns. Anyone who thinks he doesn't know how or is incapable of winning is retarded. Has he let some get away that he should have bagged? Of course. So has every other top level pro.
Sam has clearly taken his game to another level this year. He just needs to keep putting himself in position to win...

Sam is one of the best golfers in the world. The people giving him this much shite don’t know what they are doing talking about. Minus winning a major he did better than everyone else this year. Including the widely considered best golfer in the world Scheffler. These experiences will pay huge dividends down the road!
