As much as the Rant hated this kid, he was our 3rd highest graded starter this year. He actually graded out higher than Whit Weeks for the season. Kid wasn’t all world, but he was a lot better than some of you gave him credit for. I wish him well wherever he ends up.

I seriously doubt LSU told him to walk, but if he’s trying to get a fat raise after his output and our preferential treatment for playing time he can frick right off.

He definitely played better at saftey. Hate that it took us 4 years to put him at the position he came here to play.

That is flat out bullshite that Sage Ryan is better than Whit Weeks. Whoever is "grading" out these players need to repeat the 3rd grade! That is utterly ridiculous. Sage Ryan could neither cover receivers nor was he a good tackler.

Every single season, without fail, the rant decides on a DB that they think is no good. Whenever that DB gives up a completed pass there will be multiple threads started to say how much they suck. There has been at least one every single season going back as far as I can remember.
The rant hating a kid doesn't mean Jack shite really. It's just group think from a group of morons.

It amazing how we pick and choose when we want to trust PFF grades. When he was grading out terribly at corner the grades were right, but once he moved to Saftey and was constantly one of our highest graded defenders the PFF grades are wrong. Hilarious.

I remember after the Spring game there were at least 10 theads about Sage getting burnt on a touchdown when it was actually Stamps that played the wrong coverage.

So how is that mouse/"we" in your pocket. I for one never ever quote PFF grades because I have seen how incredibly incompetent they are. I HAVE looked at them and especially ridiculous are their OL and DL grades. But those clowns have scammed at least a few people into thinking they actually look at plays in football games. As I have said, Sage Ryan was not good in isolation coverage, in help coverage, nor in tackling. That pretty much says it all IMO

Which is why I put little faith in those PF grades. Not even saying Sage is bad, if I was picking up playground teams and have the choice I am grabbing Weeks PDQ.

He was minimally better than Burns and Gilbert, but they were all really bad. If I had a dollar for every bad angle and missed tackle they accumulated I could afford to quit my job!

He's not the better player but sage is going to grade out better cause he doesn't take any chances.
Whit weeks took chances and would jump out of his Gap in the run game and overrun the play. Happened multiple times.

I don't know how PFF grades and really don't care...NOT criticizing you BTW. But you know one "grade" I go by. Whit Weeks was SEC defensive player of the week at least twice this season that I know of...Ole Miss game and OU game. And how many times was Sage Ryan SEC defensive player of the week? Oh yeah, 0 times.

It’s pretty pathetic that the other LSU secondary players have been so bad that it makes you think Sage freaking Ryan was actually even average.

That sort of thing happened in the season as well. For the rant you are either all everything or you suck.
