I’m talking about Freshman Desmond Ricks not Eli, who would have declared for the draft regardless of where he played last year.

Not related just a coincidence that they share a last name and position.

Not sure why that gets a downvote. Florida sucked last year, lost a 1st round QB, and they've got the toughest schedule in the SEC.

Somebody's mad at me.

247 also said Harris and Welch were higher than Zy out of high school.
247 also said Harris was higher than Stamps. So make up your mind.

That's not confirmed yet.

It was confirmed Sage Ryan took snaps at cornerback at practice today.

LSU coaches say Zy is better.

It's not my mind that needs to be made up.

Why do you think you know more than our coaches?

Oh, really? Is that proof that they have moved him to corner?

Florida is about to have a bad season.

They're playing 5 teams currently in the top 14.

I don't understand. So your reasoning for why Mack won't sign with Florida is because you think they'll have a bad season?

They just went 6-7 and almost got shut out by OSU in their bowl game. If he signed after that, why would another bad season drive him away?

Is everybody going to stop recruiting him while Florida is crashing?

Why is this the overwhelming thought? Not disagreeing with it, just not sure what I'm missing that makes it so obvious he won't end up at Florida.
because Napier whether people want to admit or not is on the hot seat at Florida. I know it sounds ridiculous for year 2 of a coach but if he has a second straight losing season how patient will Florida be? he could easily be shown the door if he crashes and burns this year. Right now the gators are an afterthought in the East and at best the 4th best team in that division maybe 5th that shouldn’t happen at a place like Florida. Will that recruiting class stick if Napier is fired after this year? Unlikely unless they hit a major homer run hire.

I'm not arguing, just trying to understand why this is the thought for a lot of people.

I mean if you're whole reasoning is people will keep recruiting him, well shite, that's every recruit in the country until ESD.

I assumed there was some underlying reason that I wasn't aware of.

Last year was bad, but if Napier can hold on to a top 3 recruiting class, I think he buys himself time regardless of how the season goes.

As long as top talent is coming through the door then he can sell the narrative that he "just needs time" to build a roster

Never thought LSU would have trouble getting top corners especially with the NFL pedigree of producing great corners. Yet corner will be a weak spot again this year unless people step up.

Well his tackling liability says he shouldn't be playing safety. Maybe corner will allow his athleticism shine through
