I'm just saying give the younger more hungry guys a shot. If they are both going to throw a play every now and then I rather have someone in there who can actually make a tackle. Ryan is a soft player. I have played ball against him since freshman football in HS. He has never been a physical player and that is what we need in the state our team is in.

I'd say your starting corners before long will be Stamps and Woodland

What’s insane is this is the third year and BK can’t get the secondary right.

How is he objectively better as a coach as Ed O at this point?

Sage has been nothing but a liability since he arrived in Baton Rouge.

Between him and Mo Hampton we’ve had some highly touted DBs that have disappointed recently just to name a few

Sage Ryan, Major Burns, and Gilbert wouldn’t have cracked the 3-deep on those late 2000s/early2010s teams. They simply are not SEC caliber players and it’s a damn shame we haven’t been able to recruit better players.

Oh it's worse than thar. We wasted NIL resources retaining them and did not pursue replacements.

IF there were 2 other players better than him they would have sub them in to give them a try. It's how it's going to go down right now. If someone can step up, they can play early. We are in need of some help in a couple spots and waiting on who can step up to be trusted to take on the role. Don't just throw someone out there as a Fresh and let them get burned and they have them play scared from then on.

I'm willing to bet the only reason Sage was starting was due to his experience and we will see a lot more of PJ Woodland starting next week.

So we can start another 3 star CB that didn't even crack the top 500 recruit rank? Why in the hell are all of our DBs so lowly ranked besides Sage Ryan who is realistically that lowly ranked? Where the hell did all our DBs go?

Seriously? O inherited Aranda and elite cast of players on defense.

BK inherited virtually zero SEC caliber CBs. He had to basically hire mercenaries via the transfer portal just to field a competitive football team. The biggest knock against Kelly is that he hasn’t recruited Jamal Adams/Grant Delpit/Stingley caliber players who are ready to go day one, and had one of the worst defensive staffs in the SEC last year. However, it’s not fair to compare him to O at this point.
