I am so sorry to hear this. He was a fantastic poster. I was wondering why he didn't respond to a recent thread on the money board about employees.
RIP Poodlebrain. You were one of a kind. So sad.

You know.....it's strange. I've been on this site for a LONG time. I lurk more than post...and get ridiculed for dumb posts quite often when I do post. But as strange as it is, you learn personalities and feel like some posters are family...though in truth, you have no idea who or what they are in real life. But...when one passes, you feel it. Coolidge, Poodle, and the others. I hate this part of life. Anyway, I'm proud to share this big blue ball with people like that, and many of you asshats on this site. Poodle was a good man....even though I never met him in real life. He will be missed. Karen, my condolences, but you should be proud of him. He had integrity and his intellect has already been commented on. I can only imagine that he was a tremendous human being. Best to the family.

13 Our friends, we want you to know the truth about those who have died, so that you will not be sad, as are those who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will take back with Jesus those who have died believing in him.
15 What we are teaching you now is the Lord's teaching: we who are alive on the day the Lord comes will not go ahead of those who have died. 16 There will be the shout of command, the archangel's voice, the sound of God's trumpet, and the Lord himself will come down from heaven. Those who have died believing in Christ will rise to life first; 17 then we who are living at that time will be gathered up along with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord. 18 So then, encourage one another with these words.

Very sad to hear. Poodlebrain posts on the Politics and Money boards were well respected. He was one of the rare "ranters" that you learned from. Peace be upon his family and he will be missed.

Oh no, so sorry to hear this. Poodle was one of those posters that as soon as you saw his name on a post, it captured you and you read it because you knew it was gonna be solid. Really going to miss him around here and would have loved to have met him irl. Very sorry for your loss.

RIP Poodlebrain, a first ballot TD HOFer, and sage elder.

To all of Poodlebrain's admirers and 'friends' on TigerDroppings, I just spoke with Poodle's sister and she asked that I let everyone know that his obituary will be in the Baton Rouge paper soon. She asked that I post a link to it on here, which I will do, when it appears in the paper.
She did tell me that the family would appreciate memorial donations made to the LSU Foundation. That will also be in the obituary.
Poodle had been having health issues but his passing was still sudden and unexpected. His cause of death has not been determined yet.
I'm taking the liberty of asking everyone here to keep Karen, Poodle's sister, in our thoughts and prayers also. The reason she is a little delayed putting Poodle's obituary in the paper and why she asked that I post the link to his obituary is because she is currently in M.D. Anderson in Houston receiving treatment for leukemia. Her free time is understandably limited and the M.D. Anderson internet system is protected which makes posting links and sending/receiving emails almost impossible.
Karen, we are pulling for you...

Thanks for the update and I will be on the lookout for the link to the obit. Also, sad to learn of Karen's health issues. I just said a little prayer for her.
