And? Clemson was Debos first head coaching job, UGA was Kirby’s, Saban already had built a monster and won a title. It’s a selective comparison leaving out other successful SEC coaches and I asked why but I know why.

That even very good coaches often can’t immediately turn around a program in the first year.

Saying the GOAT HC in CFB having a bad season in year one isn’t him comparing the 2. Merely pointing out that it’s a process and isn’t instant.

I get that, but there’s a lot of bad coaches that started out 6-6 or 7-5 too. No one was expecting a 10 win season this year. But we live in the moment and can still criticize what is currently happening. Kelly has made some questionable hires and made several questionable coaching decisions yesterday.

Bad OL and almost no secondary is major. OL is key to a winning program.

Saban first year was very competitive despite the record. They had 6 losses but none were greater than 7 points.
