If our DBs don’t shite the bed against Arkansas we’re in it that season.

yes that is his point. 01. 02, 03 woulda been 3 straight.

matt jones only completed 5 passes that whole game. they ran at us all day. yet we lose at the end due to a couple long passes.

that was the first miracle on markham. the second was in 2008 when miles shite the bed there.

EDIT: Arkansas Razorbacks-Matt Jones 4-16-1-127.

with an injury riddled defense and a terrible backup QB and was a hail mary away from winning the west yet again

Lest we forget that the “greatest coach in the history of ever” caused the season to be played with a “terrible backup QB” because he had the starter not only still in the game with a 29-point lead with 8 minutes to go in the first half, but had him running a QB draw.

yes saban absolutely screwed up leaving MM in that long and letting him run that late in the game with that lead.

times are different tho. did we ever bitch about JD5 running too late in a game with a nice lead?

Yeah but Orgeron set a new measuring stick in "19".

Yes, easier for some, harder for historical top recruiting programs, like LSU (the basis of this forum), along with the other members of top 5 NCs this century.

Well, we won’t know the answer to that for at least another 10 years. Right now, after several years of NIL and portal, the top 7 is:
1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. Penn State
4. Notre Dame
5. Georgia
6. Tennessee
7. Ohio State

We have to go all the way to #8 to find a non-traditional power, which is SMU. You might argue for Oregon, but Oregon was a top 5 program, playing in the BCS national championship game, before portal or NIL.
