His gripe is with Tennessee, he knows they’re somewhat relevant— his calculations concluded sucked for so long they shouldn’t be ranked back 10 years, they’ve been top 20 last 2 with Two Chins, he wants Miss St he convinced they’ll never beat him.

Les Miles and Ed O were the coaches I don't believe any decent head coach out there was honestly scared of coaching against those two. They might have been scared of LSU's talent but going X's and O's coaching wise i am sure the Saban's of the world welcomed the challenge. We got a big boy coach now so

Alabama plays these 3 teams every year already, so this seems moot

This is correct. Reading between the lines the SEC divided its teams into 3 categories based on their performances in the last 10 years. Each of the good teams were going to play a team in each tier. Alabama had LSU, Auburn, and Tennessee. Tennessee was the 3rd tier, although they have been much better the last 2 years. Saban referred to this in his statement after seeing the hypothetical 3 teams he would be matched against in this 9-game model.

Their geographic location being the cellar?

If Georgia were that close to Tuscaloosa, Saban wouldn’t want to play them annually.

Saban has always been a chicken shite. Pads his record too

Next thing you know, he will be Diane Feinsteining or Joe Bidening his way through college football coaching. Next thing you know his assistants will be doing all the work, if not already. They will pump him up with meds enough to stand for 4 hours on the sidelines on Saturday. The rest of the week they will wheel him around in a power scooter.

I still like the 9 game schedule and with the expanded playoff more SEC teams are going to get in so playing more competition games is only going to help.

Idk why you got so many downvotes. tGumps need to stay in their lane and keep their inbred toothless selves on the board made for their circle jerks. Anyone that thinks Nicky doesn’t have his way with Sankey and for that matter, with the NCAA via his bff, is clueless or in denial.

Look for the schedules to be set by a Bama grad again-Bridge Schedule 2.0.

You mean State’s location near the bottom of the west almost every year?

According to what reports? He was the radio last week saying 9 games should have happened a decade ago and 8 isn’t fair to fans

Saban was also against playing for a National Championship unless you won your conference.

Sankey doesn’t get to decide this. It has to be approved by a vote of conference members. Why do you think it’s taking so long?

So with the 3 permanent teams version, aren't they just going to split the other 12 into two 6 team groups and do a 2 year home and äway series and just alternate between the 2 groups?

Alabama and Tennessee rivalry goes way back long before Nicky. Tennessee will always be on their schedule. Auburn is a given and LSU is the most logical third team.
