Does anyone think that Ryan Clark has any desire or has a future in coaching. Obviously has the playing experience and NFL stripes that can sell in recruiting and has the experience of playing the position at a high level as a former pro bowler. Seems like a natural fit. Also, don't know him but seems like he's good guy and well respected.

No, he is too much of an attention whore. Wants to be on TV.

Can you name anyone who works in television (on screen) that is not an attention whore in some degree. I mean it is part of the job.

I have met him professionally and he is one of the most personable, genuine guys I have met.
I don't think 'attention whore' describes Ryan......
He would be a great influence for players if that was what he chose to do.....

Dude would probably be an excellent DB coach and once he learns the area another beast at recruiting I'm sure.

He is an undersized safety that used his brains and athleticism to start for Saban at LSU and went undrafted to being in the NFL for 12 years. I am pretty sure he can accomplish anything he really set his mind to and be great at it.

I'm sure if he wanted to be a coach, he'd be, ya know, coaching. Clearly, he has had his sights on being on television for several years now. Better pay with much less of a grind. I'd be shocked if he ever got into coaching at this point.

No, he is smart enough to know that broadcasting is a more stable profession with better pay.

He was a great Tiger and NFL player. He is doing a great job on TV and I love his slant toward the TIGERS. Screw the gumps.

Yeah what an a-hole. He wants to do a reasonably low-stress job that he's good at involving something he's dedicated his life to and for which he will be handsomely compensated? frick outta here.

I would rather work one or two days a week in a TV studio than bust my arse on the recruiting trail 10 months out of the year.

The guy really wants to coach here. I saw him on both Auburn and Florida game weekends and they said he was interviewing both times.
