Randle and Odell were the top receivers in 2011. Yea Shepard definitely was shite on by Miles.....

Then why is he succeeding in the NFL??

I didn't read the entire thread but I hope someone pointed out he has "succeeded" in the NFL the same way he did at LSU, by being the 4th or 5th WR and playing special teams.

Exactly. Kid deserves credit for improving and gaining size. Moreover, he is proof that work ethic is often the deciding factor in making the final roster when one has even avg nfl talent. Now, his work ethic is providing him an opportunity to get better and secure playing time.

Miles use of or lack of use of certain players has frustrated me as much as anyone. Sheppard isn't one of them, though. He had plenty of chances.

I'm happy he has worked hard in the NFL and managed to hang around on a roster.

Dude, NO ONE agrees with you. Take a step back. Realise you're full of shite and move on to something that is either important or that you don't suck at.

even though he shouldn't have had to work that hard for recognition. Just amazing the amount of talent that still makes NFL rosters despite Miles.

How many other people clicked every page of this thread without reading, just to make sure you downvoted every tubucoco post?

typical Miles tard. They tried everything. Really?? Then why is he succeeding in the NFL?? lol

I don't get this argument.... It was Miles and the LSU coaching staff that made the "bold" decision at the time to convert what was a top HS qb into a WR type player. The kid is a great talent, and I say he has succeeded in the NFL (as displayed last night), due to the switch made by Miles and the LSU coaching staff. Our coaches know what it takes to give our players the best chance to make it in the NFL...and that is on full display with RS.

Well....IMO

He looks about 30-40lbs heavier than he did at LSU. As with all former Tigers, I hope he does well.

IMHO, this was his issue the while at LSU and even the past few years in the NFL. Uber talented but lacked the physicality to take the next step. I'm curious to know what was hindering him from gaining weight, metabolism? He looks like a beast now, very impressive. Best of luck to him!

If you listen to the tards on here he isn't supposed to be in the NFL. lol They will say he didn't do nothing at LSU even though the kid was used all wrong at LSU by Miles and staff and hardly played.

You should just bump the threads that basically laughed at him for even going to the NFL...

College coaches don't develop players with the goal being to make it in the NFL. They do it to win games.

Making it in the NFL is primarily the result of recruiting elite talent and hopefully developing it. But any development by college coaches is to help the college team win, not to improve the odds of success in the NFL.
