We will not win the conference if we don't use shepard. We won't even win Saturday if he isn't used more than 5 times. He's that crucial to our offense. He is the Percy harvin\demps caliber style of player with better receivers than Florida.

As a wild-card player (playing QB the least time of the three positions), he shouldn't have to wait. Let him play enough to get on some highlight reels and he'll have significant value as decoy as well.

Dalton Hilliard and Garry James sure didn't have to wait (both were true freshman). They added so many feared dimensions to the team that it created new opportunities for Alan Risher and Eric Martin.

bullshite. This isn't flag or some intramural football shite. This is LSU, the SEC, D-1 college football, the big time. The best fricking player should fricking play. Period. This coaching staff is fricking up the talent we have. Its pretty fricking pathetic. You think I'm mad?

if you play a freshman he could make mistakes. Less Miles preaches hard work and loyalty. once Shep shows that he can get more touches. until then lets give all the PT to the guys who gave it their all in practices through the years in the program.

Shep needs to see the field. The only thing he is getting right now is splinters in his @$$ from riding the pine... courtesy of Les Miles.

Once again bullshite. He can't make any more mistakes than some of the upperclassmen are already making.

Did not take long for Carroll to use Barkley or Rodriguez to use Forcier.

In this I am not confident. Our use of talent is baffling at times. And I mean this in the most positive way possible.

I love how good play seemingly gets rewarded with bench time in the second half.

WTF?

This is possibly the worst excuse I've ever seen for a guy to not be getting playing time.

If he's better than other plays and producing, he should be on the field. I don't care if he's taking the place of a 3 year starter, if he's better, he's better.

Look around the nation, there are plenty of true freshman who are producing for there teams.

Are you asserting that there "hearts and hustle" have developed at a faster rate than Sheps????

The man needs 7 or 8 touches per game. In fact, he deserves it after his play in the past 3 ball games.

maybe...have you ever thought what might happen if russell ever fumbled again?

So we shouldn't get him the ball very much because he "might" fumble again???

I just don't understand why high profile, elite recruits jump right in and are able to contribute a lot in there 1st years, but LSU skill players seem to barely see the field.

Rueben Randle is another good example of a guy not getting hardly any playing time.

the dilemma is spreading the ball around. if u give shepard more carries, that takes away from the ball possession time grinding Scott runs up the middle

You mean the play that pretty much gets stuffed every time?

Then that is a GREAT idea.

those are essential to opening up the passing game and even though they get stuffed all the time now they help open up a high flying attack.

We don't remotely have a high flying attack, and Shep could be one of our biggest weapons if he can get more than 4 touches per game.

So, hypothetically, you prefer player A who isn't as good as player B be on the field because he paid his dues for 4 years over the guy who is actually better than him and gives us a better chance to win??

Ridiculous. I'm actually starting to wondering if you're being sarcastic. If so, my bad, LOL.

The fact that RS doesn't get 10 touches a game shows pure stupidity by this staff. The opposing team knows what he's going to do, yet he still gets 5+ yds every time. Hell on the 1 handoff to TH Sat. had RS kept the ball, he had 1 guy to beat(and he would have) and then would have went a LONG ways.

Miles doesn't like to play Freshman....... He does play them, but feels he must work them in. Peterson should have started from game 1 last year, he didn't start until the end of the season.

do like Saban - put your best players on the field - See julio Jones ......Reuben Randle and Shep need to be on the field at least 50% of the time
