Russ is pretty entertaining on the show, he’s an lsu fan at heart but he keeps it real and tries not to be biased
I felt bad for him in 2018. He is normally pretty down on lsu but he went on bamas radio show that week and said there was no way in hell bama was blowing out lsu in that stadium with that defense and if they did he would go on the show and take calls from bama fans for an hour. Well we all know what happened, bama won 29-0 and Russ had to pay up lol

I mean, people were overconfident last year about UCLA and the same could be for FSU, but only 4 wins with a proven winner like Kelly when LSU has guys like Boutte, Jenkins, Bech and Nabers along with two mobile QBs and a stout D-line would be LSU failing in the worst way possible.

I generally like Russ coming on Scona but I'll be honest here, I was blown away that he thinks we will only win 4 games! He was extremely serious about that prediction. If we end up going 4-8 that my friend would be a complete shite showing for year 1 no matter how you slice it up.

Yeah, he is usually very positive about LSU. I just don't see how LSU could finish worse than last year with competent coaching even with a lot of uncertainty at some positions due to new guys playing.

also a russ mitchell fan. I was shocked he picked 4-8. his reasoning was seriously off base and I don't think he realizes how much different this team is from last year. a ton of turnover in players, staff, and overall culture.
we haven't seen this amount of turnover at lsu in 22 years from when nick came to coach.

He's is so bad at predictions I'm shocked he even gives them anymore. Poor guy he's never right and he's supposed to be an expert on SEC football.

I’m just here to bump this thread. Not sure if this has been brought up recently or not. I enjoy listening to Russ and the subsequent beating he has taken on the air after every LSU win.
