I know it’s early and the two prize freshman aren’t even here yet but Chris Curry is going to force his way into playing time. He can be the downhill bruiser to Emery’s lightning. I love how violent and low to the ground the kid runs. You can tell he enjoys hitting people.

Sad thing is he probably won’t see the field and will transfer. No way O doesn’t start Emery and Davis plus he will have to make sure Helaire gets his touches even though I could make the argument Curry and Fournette deserves it more.

Curry not thinking as much, hits the hole with acceleration through the next level and just destroys those who get in his way!

It's CEB's job to lose. He didn't dance near as much as he did last year. And if Curry continues to run like this, he'll get his share. I would also expect LF to make a dent in the lineup with his improvement continuing from late last season before the hamstring.

I think all 3 backs from last year will see the field, based on what I saw today. All 3 backs ran good. Curry was a beast.

I'm not saying Emery/Davis won't see any action. No one knows how quick they'll adjust to the college game. But assuming Curry won't see the field because of 2 backs that's never played at the college level is jumping the gun a bit.

The current guys on the team will get snaps by catching out of the backfield and blocking as much as anything else. I think CEH has the definite advantage with his hands.

The RB’s that will play the bulk of the snaps will be guys that can pick up a blitz and catch the ball out of the backfield.
If they can all do that, the most talented will be on the field.

Curry’s play may allow us to ease Davis into the power back role and give us depth. I think he sees the field some.

Why couldn't Curry have done that last season?

Curry just crashed the line last year, typical fresh stuff for a guy who doesnt play much. His vision was much better

Sometimes guys jusy "click" after a year or 2 in the system. Curry could be devastating against tired D's late in a game. He could be a serious weapon.

I imagine that E & company will find packages for Curry. You don't always need a "tank", but when you do, you really, really do.

If the freshmen are close to as good as advertised, I don't see him getting a lot of carries after the first few games. No burst at all, and who can say the freshmen can't give you the same short yardage? I can't see him as a prime back.

I was just thinking what he could've added to the offense running like he did today.

Curry also looks much bigger than he was. And he didn't join the team until the Summer. Some true Freshmen can step right in, but the majority need a season or two.

He definitely looked different. He looks better than what LSU had last season. It makes you feel better about the running game while the two freshman are brought up to speed. Yesterday he looked more like his high school highlights. If you look at his high school film you'll be blown away.
