How do you rank our running back depth? Starter is good but I’ve had some concerns as we move down the roster. Thoughts? Thanks!

I have nothing to go on saying this, but I have a sneaky feeling you will see Harlem Berry this weekend.

Not in a traditional 1RB role because that’s too obvious and he’s really not there yet to be an every down back.
But in a 2 RB set with Jones and you make OM have to account for them and Leavitt. Good luck and if you get caught slipping Berry can house shite. That’s how I hope we start incorporating him into this offense.

My thoughts are that the OL needs to play above average. We got backs. I’m still holding out hope for Berry to produce, but every game he gets left out of is a cause for concern.

Theres a reason Berry wasn't featured in the Clemson game... the same will hold true at Ole miss. The staff even put a WR in the backfield and TE last game.. what does that tell you.

I would worry if we didn’t have 3 running QBs

If this was Mettenberger, Flynn, or even Burrow, I might be worried.

We used Trey Dez to get 1 yard and a first down. That means there’s not a lot of depth, and we don’t have a horse in the backfield other than Dillon.

Solid. None of them seem elite yet, but I see 3 legit dudes who are SEC starter-level:

1. Jones: Work horse with a good first step, power, some big play ability. Probably best pass protector.

2. Gage: Ram-rod for short yardage.

3. Berry: Probably the actual #2. Home run hitter. Receiver with many YAC. Hope LK has been limiting use to keep him healthy.

4. Durham: Not sure what's up, but I hope he comes around.

There's no K Faulk or Diesel in this bunch, but we have at least 3 dudes who can get the job done. Better than having only one top-tier RB backed up by lesser backs with significant dropoff.

I love the different styles. LK & Charlie are gonna cook with this bunch.
