This board is the most insecure group of people I’ve ever seen.
This board is also the most insecure group if you question the cornerback position

If he does not play for LSU in 2023, he does not play football in 2023.
I mean that is kind of comforting.
Point blank, we need him this year. Even if it’s just for depth.

You were probably the same one saying Harris would start after he committed and if he’s gone it’s not a big deal

Lol I legit had no idea the kid even had issues. I just knew he’s a high rated corner. I’m in this thread for educational purposes only

We can all make baseless rumors there’s no source

It's entirely possible they recruited Stamps with confidence he could significantly contribute after seeing how good he was against blue chips in LSU's camps. Same thing with Toviano who was highly rated but moved to S who they were high on in spring.
They could've went with that thought and then identified all-conference CB Chestnut as a starter alongside SLU's big time athlete in Alexander who looks the part as their starters. They then looked at Johnson who was a highly rated recruit to come play for his former HS coach and then just cherry on topped it with Harris who has All-American potential. They could've planned ahead where if Harris fricks up oh well and if he doesn't, it just adds to the potential back there. Obviously they can't predict injuries nobody can but Johnson wasn't pressing Chestnut or Alexander, Welch anyway apparently.

Wtf man, reports were that he just had a really good practice Saturday in the 11 v 11 portion. If we’re without Harris and Johnson week 1 it’s going to hurt

Stamps is a good player and nice story but he’s not as good or as talented as Denver Harris. Denver Harris was a midseason Freshman All American at A&M last year and was a blue chip recruit for a reason he can ball. He’s just a jack arse that can’t get out of his own way and the reason he’s been down the depth chart in camp is because they want him to straighten up his behavior more.

I mean by the time he left A&M he was playing at an all-American level. Now he's barely talked about.
This isn't A&M. We tend to have quality dbs at LSU

This is based on what? recruiting rankings? You have no idea how talented Stamps is until he sets foot on the field. I have bad news for you on recruiting rankings when it comes to Louisiana players. They're woefully under scouted by all sites and that's why it often happens a complete unknown comes out and looks like an all-american. Stamps was good enough to shutdown blue chips at LSU's camps and when this happens they always end up studs because they're playing against potential high end SEC players.
You can't say how good Stamps is compared to Harris until you see him play. Harris is no doubt an All-American talent but how can you say Stamps is not too without seeing him play? BK saw his performances and immediately handed him a ship personally. He's already running with 1s. That says a lot about his ability.

With all the corner backs in the 2024 recruiting class, hopefully corner won't be an issue in years to come.

Obviously it would be nice to have returning CB’s instead of having to rely on transfer CB’s every single year.
Returning players from the last staff weren't up to the task of playing for BK.

We don't even know if it's an issue this year.
Just like last year, when the DB depth chart was a disaster until the actual games when we realized our starters were pretty good.

Then why has he already passed him on the depth chart?

How many games did you see Harris play at A&M?
You’re basing this solely off star ratings
Dude wasn’t starting in spring either
