We are starting over. Last year we thought we just needed to make a few offseason changes to be right back in things.

That’s one reason I’m losing interest in college football.

Me personally, I expect several big names to leave. I don't expect guys who are already starters to leave though.

What constitutes a big name, if they aren’t already starters?

On a soon to be 5 - 7 team? You're quite the oxymoron!

I don’t care. Leave tomorrow. Bye. Any of them. From all SEC caliber to scrubs. GTFO. Not because I don’t like them or don’t respect their abilities. But because The ONLY thing that matters is the right hire. That’s it. Hire a program sustainer and don’t worry about the clutter.

Deion Smith, Chris Hilton, Kardell Thomas, John Emery, one of the freshman RBs. Big names. Some of the highly rated defensive guys who have barely played in 2-3 years here. Ed O being a DL coach, could also have much more of an effect there: see OL transfers after Les Miles was let go.

Brennan started all of 3 games in 5 years. That is already a big name non starter

Not such a big deal when you only have a handful of major players.

[quote]They better not lose Ricks or Ojulari or next season will be even worse than the last 2. That’s why they need to make and announce the new hire quickly and get the new guy in here to right the ship. Also Ricks and his mother said he’s not transferring and they’re gonna finish what they started.[/quote

Tell mom that they already quite.

I think LSU will be fine if they lose guys like that. Guys that can’t get on the field or young guys at crowded positions that can’t break through.

Those reasons have been the MO on most LSU transfers recently, & I don’t think it will shift much. From a sheer numbers perspective it might be a year or 2, but just hold that top end talent & you will rebound fast

Someone should up the ante in the transfer portal. Some program should hire a real bona fide GM who outwardly covets players on other teams and sends people out to talk to their parents with good NIL deals....not just Billy Bob Jones Chrysler Dodge.

Same. I think many will, it will just mirror the NFL at that point.

Players transferring…it’s almost like they read the constant negativity by the majority of loudmouths on the Rant.

That's what I say. Let's hire a Chinese guy . Those smart little yellow guys should have it all buttoned up in a flash. Hell, how about an Apache ?
