Universities don't plan things in the name of people out of the goodness of their hearts. There's always financial support required.

That had the potential to be a great team. Problem was, there were always one or two games back then the Tigers would lose focus and slip up in a game they should have won. Miami (Ohio) is an obvious example.

How did he ever get that nickname "Nacho"?

There is a video out there where he answered that. Apparently he’s Italian and his first name is actually Ignazio (not Joseph which is what he goes by now). Nacho is apparently a common nickname for Ignazio. It started when he was in 3-4th grade

He used to come plop down at my table during dinner to talk bourbon, ask my opinion when they had picked out a single barrel. A very everyday sort of guy, always had a big presence without trying.

RIP

All great guys.

I actually think of Ruff often. Larger than life and a vibrant personality.

I can still hear him doing that barking thing in the chute before taking the field.

Ftr, I’d love to see a memorial for Big E as well. It’s be poetic to place them together.

Btw, I just remembered Eric’s purple pickup…..those were the days.

Of course it’s getting downvoted but RR was a bad person and husband. He was caught with a hooker and drugs. Fire away!
