Kid has made several mistakes in the field. No pop in bat bad fielder. If kid don’t make huge jump in on field performance I can see him getting the boot.

He was put in shite positions, never having played the right side and goofy fricking shifts whenever he was in the game.
He’ll be fine and likley our starting shortstop next year.
We should’ve never got rid of Mikey Ryan, that would be a good middle infield next year.

Nobody comes in and just starts at shortstop. He’s made multiple crucial errors at 2nd base. This isn’t juco ball or playing for Missouri. If you can’t get it done, you’re processed.

I expect good throws from Ruckert who projects as a starting shortstop. I know he’s young but accurate throws are instinct for elite infielders.

#1player in Louisiana last year should not make this error.Always run the runner back to base until until the runner turns his back and then throw ball to 3rd base. This is just one of several errors by him this year.
