Ok, if we are using last year as a reason on what to do and not to do this year, then we definitely shouldn't this year, because we sucked at it last year.

Have some of the people one this board watched any games this season...in person? The arguments being made are dumb. We have speed. Not in our catchers but we do have speed especially with our outfielders. If I am not mistaken, we had 18 sacrifice bunts so far this season coming into the weekend. Some bunt singles too. This is not the era of home run ball. Our players are small. Do whatever you have to to score runs, especially early.

Laird and Stevenson are fast but aren't very good at stealing.
Bregs is somewhat fast and average at stealing.
We suck at stealing and are decent at bunting for hits every now and then.

Giving up outs against good pitchers (your admission), probably won't get you that many runs.

I HAVE watched and attended a few games this season, and I apparently misread CPM thinking we were making an effort to go more in that direction. If we're not, we better hope they move the CWS outta that fly ball eater in Omaha.
