While that might be the case, he's done nothing to slow it down; in fact, the decline has accelerated a good bit the past few years.

The marching band under King has slipped gradually each year he has been at the reign. I have no idea why he was fired and neither does any poster here who merely repeats rumors and general anti-LSU Admin crap. I just hope we get someone better at training and directing the band.

What a clusterfrick. From the allegations posed in that article, definitely sounds like a witch hunt. They were trying to pin as much shite as possible on him to give them a reason to can him.
The one I found particularly rich was the nepotism angle. How many daughters and sons of LSU officials hold internships in the AD or somewhere else? fricking laughable.

This is such bullshite. The admins at this university are a joke. First we are going bankrupt, then we are firing our coach and now we fire the band director for some made up reason.
As has been stated we fired the wrong King.

He been witch hunt since day one. He been fighting acquisition after acquisition. Did he divide the band? No. The band was divided before he ever stepped foot into the position of director of athletic bands.
