Just reading all of this.
This is not good even if a smidget true. RS parents better be coughing up bk stmts for the past 24 mos to quash this.

RS may have got some benefit dealing with an apartment. Something about living with his GF while she paid the bills.
Nobody knows for sure.
The Rant thinks we are going to get the Death Penalty.
Those that know think he will just have to pay some small change back.

If true, could just end up like the Lienart Jarret apartment deal. Matt's dad paid the rent, but Jarrett did not contribute money. he was retroactively ineligible until he paid the past few months rent. It lasted all of three or four days.

If it was anything like that it would be a terrible waste of the NCAA's time. Is that really the biggest thing on their plate? Also, kids live off campus all the time. They get a stipend for living off campus. You don't have to live on campus to receive housing benefits.

This is so fricking overblown. LSU's "stuff" was "stuff" that LSU reported 2 years ago and "stuff" that the NCAA really didn't do anything more to us than was already done. Any "stuff" with Willie Lyles is really utter bullshite propagated by ESPN - my guess is that this is something that is blown out of proportion as well.

Damn, some of you guys are doing your best to over react and be dramatic. As long as it wasn't some rogue booster paying for his housing we are fine. Shepard may miss a game or two and have to pay back his rent. Big fricking deal. This is a much smaller issue than the deal with Hicks and his apartment.

Yea, it shouldn't be a big deal. Except we don't know how long this has been going on. If he's been pocketing $700-$800 a month for several months, that can add up quickly. I doubt he's been stashing this cash in a savings account...what if he can't pay it back?

I don't think I've ever heard of a player not being able to pay money back. They'll find a way.. parents take out a loan, etc. If he really was just living with his girlfriend and pocketing the cash then this is a very minor issue.
