Whatever McCollister wants I’m likely against it.
He and his propagandists are not good for this city or LSU.
Fill out the Brec survey and stop McCollister and the shoe store lady from taking over city park. Brec survey

Not even close. Wade is and was dirty as hell, and stupid on top of that

First of all Wade was never proven to have paid a player. He got caught paying the girlfriend of a player who was continually trying to extort more money from him. Secondly a lot of other coaches and programs got caught cheating but their AD's and Presidents defended them. And last but not least, it is now legal to pay players so to act like LSU sunk to some kind of low by hiring back a successful coach they probably should have never fired for doing what everyone is now doing is laughable.

Ehh. Rolfe is an example of someone whose voice was needed 30 years ago, but is past his expiration date (in terms of being paid attention to). He has been around long enough to see his ideas go from leading the charge for a better BR to being a contrarian old fart that wants to hold on to whatever influence he has left. That influence diminishes every day. I actually was wondering if the Business Report was ever going to actually report that Wade was back at LSU. Their silence was telling.

Hey Sheila, repeat the sentences in the next paragraph. If they don't sound absolutely laughable and preposterous to you when you say them out loud, YOU are a MOTHERFLUCKING moron.
I, SHITGPT of LA, am so proud and unbelievably lucky to have witnessed the greatest college football team of all time, my LSU Tigers, beat the piss out of every team we played in the magical season of 2019. And by golly, the ABSOLUTE BEST thing about it was, not a single player was illegally recruited to play for that squad in any way. Only a select few coaches (most notably a Will Wade type), would have had to cheat to be that successful.
Not LSU and the cookie monster though, Jack!!

I've always taken exception to the argument that "Wade was stupid for getting caught".
To anyone's knowledge NEVER before in the history of the FBI or the NCAA had college basketball recruiting ever been investigated by the FBI. So to say Wade, or ANY coach should have foreseen the possibility that a party to a conversation about recruiting would be recording it in connection with an FBI investigation is beyond ridiculous. The wiretap recording that was made public wasn't a discussion of a crime (hence, why Wade was never charged with a crime). It was a discussion re: activity that was potentially against organizational administrative rules. So why should a coach think such conversations/activities would be subject to criminal investigation?

U gotta be stupid to be the first. Sorry, it is what it is

Rolfe McCollister is part of the Baton Rouge cabal who ran LSU for years.

I met McCollister once and he is a cliche. He's always had money, lives very well, makes every effort to pretend supporting the community while living a arrogant lifestyle none of us could comprehend. Believe me, he sees us all as peasants.

Wasn't this guy on the board when they fired Miles, but then didn't fire him, just to then fire him again?

100%. One of the most fake Baton Rouge blue bloods you’ll meet.

Y’all are a sensitive bunch. Damn.

You just know there are DOZENS of HCs and high level assistants, plenty of them household names that had incriminating phone conversations with Dawkins (and other player brokers) on multiple occasions before the FBI "sting" that nabbed Wade and the others.
And you also have to believe they were all shocked when the tapes were leaked, and I bet more than a few remarked "but for the grace of God, there go I."

Is McCollister one of the folks that is spearheading the move to try and close the City Park Golf course ?
Posted on 4/9/26 at 10:04 pm to AkronTiger
Rolfe is part of old school BR Elite. He pretends to be a Republican but supports a lot of Democrats. He hates Jeff Landry and doesn’t like that the BR power brokers are currently locked out of power. He was a huge Woodward supporter also . HE is the BR equivalent of NewOrleans Uptown blue bloods except he has nothing to really be proud of .
Posted on 4/9/26 at 10:19 pm to In The Know
Rolfe McCollister a relic of old BR stagnation trying to remain relevant.
