Yeah, we were so much better off with Crowton, Studrawa, Cameron and Canada coaching QB's.

If I recall many of the arguments in favor of Ensminger being the OC were simply him having been the QB at LSU.

Seems Ro is over qualified to be the QB coach...

PLEASE let it be! I loved Matt Flynn but Rohan was the last really explosive QB at LSU.

He also talked about the wide receivers needing to step up during the offseason and start taking things seriously. When asked about the simplistic routes he said that's where LSU is right now. Another slap at the wide receivers. Apparently he's not impressed with WR play and effort.

This is my opinion.

The same with the offensive line which couldn't be bothered to learn the blocking assignments.

Would Rohan even be a good coach? He was more of a grip it and rip it QB. It didn’t seem like he’d be a great teacher.

Another thing Rohan mentioned was that the offense didn't have time to work on fundamentals this year. It was all cram the offense. I didn't realize that which may explain a lot.

In the grand scheme of things when we are referring to qualified coaches at LSU, I don't think that has ever been a determining factor whether that person gets the job or not.

So in Davey's defense, he at least recognize our issues. I say sign him up in some capacity. Unlike Ensminger no one is twisting his arm to take the job so at the very least he has a want for us to improve. He has been critical of our offense in the past in a constructive way. He called BH6 out for his shitty play.

He wasn't kind to the wide receivers yesterday at all. He said that they need to start taking things seriously. The only WR that worked out with Burrow was Justin Jefferson. That should tell you a lot.

He said he would have to work some things and go over some things with coach O. Come on Derek make it happen! That would be so tight having two of my favorite LSU players on staff with Rohan davey and Kevin Faulk who hopefully will be our running backs coach.

He was asked the question and have an honest answer. Its not like he came and said this is what he wanted to do. It was strictly hypothetical and let's leave it at that.

We hopefully have some sort of deal with Sean Salisbury to be QB coach

Faulk is taking the correct path. He will get an on-field opportunity at LSU at some point, or he will go to a smaller school first.

A former running back who can communicate and explain a few technique issues is probably more college coach ready than othe rpositions. At LSU the RB coach has a lot o ftalent to work with . Its mostly working with them on adjusting tot he speed of the game and following blocking concepts to allow the play to unfold. Then athleticism takes over.

Honestly, I'd rather get a coach with a proven track record at the college level. Your QB coach also needs to work well with the OC. I'd rather see the OC position shake out, then find a good QB coach who compliments the OC.

Well, it takes a long time to learn a playbook that is being made up as you go.

At the beginning of the season a local radio personality stated that the offense was still being installed and was a work in progress. I laughed it off then but with hindsight that would certainly explain the confusion and not knowing blocking assignments.

Does he have any coaching background at all? Former players with no coaching background take jobs at high schools not as a position coach at Division 1 schools in the SEC.
