Burrow throws with touch (except when heat is needed). Haskins throws as hard as he can on almost every throw. THAT impresses the cheerleaders and the know-nothing announcers.
And the position battle had more to do with Day thinking he'd have Haskins for 3 more years. He was dumbfounded (live on TV) when he found out Haskins filed for the NFL draft.

Okay. let's see...my senior year in high school (45 years ago), my batting average on my high school baseball team was just under 350. That was my stat. But my ability......damn, let me tell you about my ability. If the infielders on the opposing teams weren't such great fielders, and the outfielders were just a little bit slower, and if all of them had a little bit weaker arm strength, I could have easily hit 600. Maybe even 700.
