It's just a fun way for fans to be involved in a little friendly competition while also feeling good about helping a charity.
The problem is the mega-rich alums ruined it and while yeah it's great more money went to the charity, it just became dumb.

Yeah, there has to be a way to say you have to be there and purchase the shots. Not just phone it in.
