Finally, a well-thought out, non knee jerk reaction

We need a better plan on short yardage and goal line. I was heartened when we went wildcat early in the game with Johnson. We gained 5 or 6 yards but never went back to it. You would think with our short yardage struggles it would become a bigger part of our offense.

Agree. I'd like to see us bring Bordelon in or some of the other backup lineman and put them at fullback in front of Johnson on those wildcat runs.

but the only tools 75 has is 6’6” 300+. Most guys who struggle in SEC games you say, he belongs in the Sunbelt or SWAC, but he would struggle there. He just isn’t a football player. Doesn’t get off on the snap count. Poor feet. Poor hands. Stands straight up to block. I’m stunned that in one game on the road

Sounds like a coaching problem. He was a 5* prospect at tackle for a reason, and it wasn’t just for his size.
Need someone on the offensive side who can teach technique, like when they brought back Pete Jenkins and he single handedly fixed problems on the defensive line

Ty Simpson looked better running the football than Pavia when they played each other. He’s getting better every week

I am not on the Nuss bus never have been. However we can still win if he just would not panic and throw int's and run the fricking ball when lanes are open for him

Again he is a 5th year senior and has been making these same mistakes since his freshman year with no real growth

I’d just like person to explain why they think he is capable of changing NOW!!!

Some called QB runs, but mostly from escaping pressure and taking easy yards when it’s there.
But, his OL has been better as of late and he’s had time. Also, he’s bigger than Nuss and he’s progressed more than you might expect from game to game. Not to mention that they have a great running game and WR’s that don’t drop many balls and help their QB look better.

Overall, their offense is balanced and a defense has to respect every facet

I agree, I think the game was frustrating as a fan but positive in that they were moving the ball well and making plays but just couldnt punch it in. They seem really close, Nuss just needs to get locked in on every play. Not sure if he can do that but if he does we could be good.

My view is this is who he is. Only hope is somehow he avoids numerous sacks and int's. If we get lucky in key game we could beat most anyone.

I disagree about Hilton. With our stingy defense a bomb for TD at any point in time could be difference maker in close game. Davis at right tackle is a work in progress. He made some nice blocks late in game. Maybe he can build on that moving forward. Red zone offense near goal line needs some much needed creativity. Get a mobile QB or have Jujuan Johnson in wildcat. Got to score TD's in RED zone to win BIG time games. The offense gets their act together moving forward Tigers are going to be fun to watch in all phases of the game. Let it happen! Just WIN Baby!
Geaux Tigers!
