Miss Havisham isn't clinging to the idea that Compeyson could come back, either, but she still should throw that cake away and stop being a count to everybody who has the gall to be happy.

Those low standards you speak bout are higher than any achieved by HCs who came before Miles at LSU and better than 99% of the HC's who have practiced their craft in the college game since 05.

Any with a football IQ over 75 would know that already.

I don't want him back. He has no loyalty to anything...he's nothing more than a hired piece of crap mercenary. I want someone coaching LSU that knows the importance of Purple and Gold

He did.

He watched every game. Even called Fisher almost weekly to wring his hands over the decision. Saban knew within a few weeks of training camp he wanted back at LSU.

I for one thank God that he didnt and wont.

Agreed.

Well yeah I get that, but it doesn't take away from the fact that there are games where the players appear to be totally unmotivated, it is up to the coach to get them ready. IMO.

Agree about Saban, but disagree about thats why people dont like miles.

Saban is a winner, strives for greatness and reaches it, hard to hate on him for doing so.

Miles is a clown who continues to make simple mistakes and always seems to get out coached in the biggest moments due to his stubborn behavior and refusal to adjust.

Miles winning percentage has a lot to do with the state of the program he inherited and the fact that LSU recruits itself to a large degree. We have won a lot of games in spite of miles IMO

Not sure how to translate this.

You don't have to. The events that play out over the next decade are out of our control, and will clearly support the statement. However, the events are not totally about football. At some time, money will become fluid and perspectives will change. I wouldn't be surprised to see all the SEC schools advocating and recommending sweeping changes to athletic programs, including salary caps for coaches. And the Federal Government may consider taxing athletic programs...Let's wait and see.

Yeah, because Saban was infallible, like he is now, at LSU with those 8-5 record and 3 loss seasons. Make sense that Saban's players are still at LSU 9 years later. You're fricking retarded if you think that a program can just continue on with a doormat head coach and dominate just because of the brand. Look at USC. Look at Tennessee. Look at Texas and the last couple of years.

Oh, the "talent wins games" argument. Excellent argument sir. Again, go argue that on Texas and USC message boards. Even Florida message boards.

You guys that reach into your ridiculous reasoning bags and pull out that shite are moron. Plain and simple. Lack of common sense is overtaken by an agenda. Not that I'm coming to the rescue of Miles, but god damn. Think before you fricking post. Use common sense.

accidental??? do you mean like facing a team that had their all world QB get injured early, making it no contest?? do you mean losing in november at home and not winning your division and getting to play for an NC?? or do you mean losing in november at home again and having all the other real contenders lose so you end up hitting from the women's tees (notre dame)???

Well put!

Yes it's very absurd to say miles makes mistakes over and over in the last 5 years while all Saban does is pile up crystal balls.

You're who this write-up is directed towards. Holy jealous and scorned.

Get over it. Saban is obviously infallible and it didn't take any luck whatsoever for Saban to win any of those championships, right?

Actually, the vast majority of Tiger fans DO NOT hate Nick Saban, they hate the CHAIN OF EVENTS and the SITUATION that allowed him to land in Tuscaloosa.
Had he not taken the Dolphins job, he may have stayed in Baton Rouge, maybe not. But there is NO WAY IN frickING HELL he would have left LSU for Alafrickinbama.
The Bama job just happened to be open when he decided to quit the Dolphins, which no doubt hastened his cowardly departure.
It could have been any big name school with an opening and a blank check. It just happened to be those lovely subhuman folks.

I don't honestly hate Saban, but I can say that I loathe, despise, and hate the MulliGumpDetergentHeadTeabaggingSkoalJuiceChins with every atom of my being; and I have since I was shown what a football was.

2 of the 3 National Championships for Saban consisted of:

Playing a team with a backup QB.

Given a 2nd shot at a team that they've lost to earlier in the season after finishing 2nd in their division in the conference.

Funny how everyone brings up the luck of Miles, but never for Saban.

I don't know anyone who thinks Saban could or would come back, but percentages don't mean shite when you have only one accidental championship and the other guy has three and is going for four. Btw, Billy Bob, Sabans percentage doesn't suck either.

And now, after years of Elmer advertising his stupidity on worldwide television, again and again and again, we're losing the talent edge. He will soon settle into being Cholly Mac 2.0, Sabans big dumb bitch.

You missed the exact point the article was making. Stop comparing us to Bama. No team, possibly in history, can compare to Bama. Be happy and recognize we have a great coach here.

I have no jealousy or scorn towards Saban, he made a decision to goto the NFL and then took the best college job he could when he left the NFL.

My dislike of miles has nothing to do with Saban what so ever.
