It's simply not going to happen because:

1. He lost to Troy/State and looked bad doing it.
2. The aborted Canada experiment.
3. Good ol boy hiring of CSE.
4. Let recruiting drop off to a completely unacceptable level.
5. Wasted an easy schedule last year resulting in 4 losses.
6. Appeared nutless in the bowl game by not going for it on 4th down.
7. Has no successful track record as a HC.
8. Did not go thru any kind of real search process to get the job.
9. Is facing a daunting task this year with no real QB/RB to rely on.
10. Shot his mouth off about the playoffs and shite the bed on that promise.

Other than these issues...the future looks bright!!!

Thanks this isn't discussed enough in 90% of threads on the rant already. One more is EXACTLY what we needed.

False, and this question has been asked and answered 100 times on here.

But...since this is the resounding belief...can we start a policy whereby the next mother fricker that asks the board what it will take to get behind Orgeron be banned for 12 months, since no answers will suffice for those asking?

It's very simple:
Just win, baby!

If O wins, he will win people over. Last year, with a ton of talent returning and a relatively easy SEC schedule, his team lost 4 games, including losses to Troy and Miss State. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence. People who don't like O aren't exactly irrational. What has he done to inspire confidence that he's the one who can right the ship? What did he do to earn the head coach job? What has he done since?

I'm not ready to fire him, but he's got to put up or shut up if he wants the Tiger faithful behind him.

He’d have to have a couple of great years to gain any confidence from me.

Then why didn't you answer in that thread? What makes your response so significant that it needed a totally seperate thread?

This will turn into a 20 page pissing match that reads exactly like the rest of them.

You can throw out #2 - Canada sucked.

Everything else - you're good.

We will change our minds when he wins a national championship. Don't you remember when we gave Les all the credit for the 2007 NC and never doubted him afterwards?

If he wins a National Championship, people will change their minds and support him. I'm not saying I think he can, just that it would take winning one with him as HC.

Don’t forget that he is also wasting the athletic department money in having to pay the Canada buyout. I hear that crap all the time. I could care less about how much LSU has to pay for anything. We make millions and should be able to pay a buyout!

I'll agree to that, but with one condition:

the same penalty applies to the next asshat who starts one of these "why I hate Coach O" threads.

Felt like it. Ya know they have procedures now where they can actually remove the pole from your arse...it's really neato!!!!
