this is literally out of control. executing search warrants for what? to find bone fragments on week old shoes from a fight? Get real. BRPD you're wasting tons of money. Arrest JJ and let Hillar do his job or say you don't have what you need. Go catch murderers and rapists... not guys in a bar fight.

eta: didnt think a fake turd in the punch bowl was a biggie. my b

solving or preventing real crimes.

So a potential 2nd Degree battery isn't a real crime? A simple yes or no answer please.

Well you would be wrong since the law recognizes it as a crime.

I'd like to know how many 2nd degree battery cases have search warrants executed during them its almost comical how much it looks like BRPD is just like "yeah look! we are doing a real investigation!! (wink wink nudge nudge)"

There are probably 100 2nd degree batteries committed in Baton Rouge daily. Get real. Whoever feels this case is worth all this time, money, and negative attention needs to get real.

This among other threads have become flames inciting hatred and negativity towards the BRPD -- seriously, what the hell?

How about if an off duty BRPD police officer was accused of breaking 3 vertebrae in a barfight? You'd be okay with the police not investigating that right?
Not one person has questioned the police investigating the bar fight. If a cop was involved, and 5 days later they WEREN'T executing search warrants on someone's house over a bar fight, then yeah, people would be okay with that.

Because idiots believe they should be solving "real" crimes. Apparently potential felonies aren't "real" crimes.

I just don't understand how a search warrant serves any purpose in this circumstance. What does it prove? What does JJ s DNA prove? That he was there? I didn't know we were still arguing about that. DNA can only prove if he was there or not, NOT what actions he committed @ Shady's that night...Pointless

Also not to mention if they just ignore this without any investigation it's a national pr nightmare for them.
Seriously? You honestly believe that the only possible investigative tool that can be applied to cases involving battery is a search warrant for a person's home? What do you think they were doing for the last 5 days before the search? What will do tomorrow?

Since your knowledge of police and police procedure is so ill-informed as to believe that police cannot investigate a crime without executing a search warrant for Jordan Jefferson's house, it would be much less embarassing for you if you just stop posting now.
