Or we could go out and outscore them every which way.

I don't want LSU to play too conservative.

I imagine LSU will still be very balanced.

We can't always rely on the run game to score TDs
Particularly since they have a shaky secondary.
Bottom line, as evidenced by Saturday night, LSU is gonna take what the defense gives them.

And their womenz.

Fulton and stingley shouldn’t have any problem shutting them 2 WR down. If Johnson was that good he would have went pro

Ehlinger has to be upright to complete long passes. He will meet a very angry Chaisson and other Tigers.

As for the UT defense, and I know this won’t be popular, LSU need to run the ball because UT essentially plays a 3-8 conceding 400 yards plus per game,

Nah. Take what they give. If UT stacks 8 expect a few short passes that turn into big plays from LSU or a few over the top passes for TDs.

Their belief is that Aranda and the LSU defense is arrogant and will leave Fulton and Stingley on islands against Johnson and Eagles which will allow Ehlinger to hit some long throws because they say Ehlinger is more accurate long than intermediate or short. I agree. I hope Aranda plays more zone.

I disagree. The fact that UTs WRs are big means it will be easier for Fulton and Stingley to stick to them like glue. They will have an advantage high but not by much. To take advantage of the WR height Etlinger needs to be pretty damn accurate. Is Etlinger capable of being that accurate?

LSU needs to be smart, protect the ball on offense and let the defense and special teams win the game.

Thank you Les Miles.

I think they days of “letting the defense win games” is gone. The other 2 cliches go along with any other game in the history of football. That said, the whole basis of an RPO offense is to take what the defense is giving you on every play, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we come out run heavy. If you can eat clock, get on the board a few times early, and be stout of defense, you can get a team out ot their gameplan very quickly.

Hey bud have you ever heard of the term “lock down corner?” It would mean we aren’t afraid to play man-to-man because our corners can lock down their receivers no matter where they run to in the field!

Let Aranda game plan and you do what you do best, spectate!

Truth is, we do not know what kind of running game this team has ...
I suspect we are about to find out.

He is 6'6"

Fact is watch ehlinger TDs from last year over half are jump balls. He just tosses it up for these big receivers.

Aranda has been susceptible to the power run game and running QBs. If Texas has a chance it’s if Sam makes big plays with his feet to extend plays. Tney will run Qb Power and read Option then try Our young Dbs down field for chunk plays. They will also get the ball to #6 n diff ways. I am a believer n Texas being back but this LSU D I think is too good in the front 7. Grant and KV will help the freshman. Divinity and Jacoby will both get Sacks. 30-19, 27-17 Is about what I think LSU wins by
