Burrow's blind side was pretty much unprotected against Florida. Adding a third tackle by replacing the TE (on selected plays) has worked well for some other programs.

No. That’s BS. This is LSU. An extra lineman is unacceptable. They should be able to protect the QB just like every other elite programs. Sacks are a part of the game. Just get better.

the only problem with this is they will adjust their personel and likely add another LB or pass rusher if your "TE" does not pose as any receiving threat

Ohio State is an elite program. They used a third tackle last season fairly frequently (Branden Bowen) - Not ideal, but it stopped the free shots at the QB from the blind side.

And it also got the TE (with NFL aspirations) one HELL of a lot more serious about getting his arse in gear.

Does Dwayne Haskins have a 3rd OT blocking for him?

they put Traore in as a 3rd tackle on the goaline last week. i dont see it happening in another other situation outside of short yardage.

Beating sacks are a combination of Pass Protection, QB recognition, and WR response. At LSU the pass protection is sound but the execution is not. QB recognition and response to blitzs is still evolving. The WRs blitz adjustment is still in the developing stage.

This is essentially what Dillon Gordon was.

TE at LSU, tackle in the NFL.

It's not a bad idea and was a staple under Les, who was more successful than Orgeron has been.

The issue with adding a third tackle on passing downs is that the defense no longer has to account for a different receiving threat and will adjust accordingly.

Moreau had 1 catch against Florida and none against Auburn. Not like the D's are keying on him. And JB could toss one at a big OT once in a while if they completely ignore him.
