Jeremy Hill or Guice. Faulk would be good in this offense, too.

Guice would be the most interesting to see.
Would not have complained if it were Dominic Davis either.

CEH was perfect, but this is still fun to think about.

There are only two reasons people think like this, and they’re both illogical.

He’s under 5’10 and under 4 stars.

Clyde was perfect for this offense. I don't think I've ever seen a shiftier back in LSU history.

For all of the great plays in the Bama game, I still go back to that 3rd and 10 where Bama called the perfect blitz and Joe had to dump that rushed pass to CEH. Not only does he make a great fingertip / shoestring catch but he bulls his way to a huge first down. I'm convinced that LSU likely loses if not for that play.

I see Clyde going to the Redskins. Riverboat Ron needs another McCaffrey and Clyde would be perfect, plus they need a running back.

Shyrone Carey is a name I haven't heard in a while. Dude was absolutely shifty. Seems like he had the nickname Jitterbug.

So many good RBs from our past that would kill in this offense. Not sure why do many didn't like this thread. It was an interesting thought.

Jeremy Hill or Guice. Jeremy was a really good pass catcher
Yeah maybe. I love Guice and CEH in this offense. Luckily you’ll get to see Jeremy Hill in this offense. TDP is a hill clone

It would be fun to see Kevin Faulk in a modern spread attack offense.

Patriots didn’t run spread, but Kevin Faulk has multiple super bowl rings for doing for them a lot of what Clyde did for the Tigers this year.

Leonard had 2000 yards when 11 defenders were at the line of scrimmage all year.

He might have broken some records

Exactly. Wtf are people thinking

Also his 76 catches in the nfl are more than Faulk had in a single season by like 20.

I get your point but OP was being hypothetical. It's crazy to think the numbers that would have been put up by some of LSU's past rb's. It's a fair take, even though CEH did much more than anyone expected this year. He put together one of the greatest seasons for an LSU running back.

Guice
Fournette
Faulk

Guice because he was a little more elusive and I think he would have done very well after catch with all of the checkdowns.

Fournette would have been LETHAL in this offense. People shite on Fournette because they don't agree with his politics, or they think he's entitled, etc. but he was an absolute baller. Give him an off season with Joe Brady, where they would have likely leaned him out a bit and worked on his hands (which were already very good), and there'd be no question. Fournette is easily number 1 in terms of production while running behind a one-trick pony offense that continually ran into messes at the LOS.

I'm putting Faulk there because he was very dynamic and I think he would have been even better in this offense.

Other than those 3, I truly believe Clyde is one of the most polished RBs to ever come though LSU. We have seen MANY good ones and I can't think of any other backs that come close in terms of making plays in crucial spots.

Let's replace him with Curry and see what happens.
