What happened to the days of watching the game and enjoying the atmosphere without having to stare at your phone?

This is/was badly needed. AT&T was horrible in Tiger Stadium. I hope this really does help.
I had to walk to the concourse and lean against the exterior wall to get any service at all.
And before the old timers try their "back in my day we just watched the game!" nonsense, it's a new day. I want to keep up with other games going on. I've likely bet the board and want to how I'm holding up. I want to go on twitter and see replays because tiger stadium doesn't fricking show any, especially when there's 10 reviews a game. I want injury updates. I want to text my dad and see what he's seeing on TV at home.
I shouldn't be barred from any of that because 30 years ago none of that existed.

Being able to send/receive a text message during one of the numerous commercial breaks isn't really asking for a whole lot.
