I was too young to appreciate the consequences of this until much later in life. I thought the SEC Storied was fascinating when it first aired 5? or so years ago. He well could have been our Spurrier before Spurrier as the show mentioned.

I think Lou Holtz still blames LSU for his death. It really is the greatest What If? story in LSU football history.

I agree. The guy who claims it’s him must be speaking from the grave since Danny Simar died a few years ago.
