Remember when Mainieri actually surrounded himself with qualified assistants?

Me too. Our hitting coach was basically an intern

I know it’s taboo to ever question Alan Dunn, but he’s been here for five years now. We’ve never had a Sunday guy five years later. Mainieri curls in a ball and cries about the private schools having scholarship advantages. but what’s his excuse for Oregon state? The fricking BEAVERS wipe their arse with pitchers that throw mid 90s

I’m not even suggesting fire Mainieri, because that’s not even a realistic nor practical option. But for the love of god can we surround his dumbass with actual qualified assistants? PLEASE BAW. We’ve come a long way from cliff goodwin and Rooney

I would not mind having more seasoned assistants myself

Really? You are going to cite Oregon State? Yeah that is an amazing program and last time I checked, we ended their best season of all time. Chill out dude, one series!

They have won CWS before so that wasn’t their best series all time.

Dunn has had more than enough time to put together a top pitching staff, and that hasn’t happened five years later. It’s time to maybe take a step back and at least question if he’s the best option for LSU right now. My point is that oregon state is a public university without TOPS, and somehow they manage to put together a very deep and talented staff

We had one last year. And, barring injury, we would have had one this year.

Didn’t LSU knock Oregon State out of the CWS last year?

Okay, best regular season of all time, 4 losses or something like that.

We have had elite pitching staffs every year until this year

Eric Walker last year, maybe you've heard of him. He was a freshman all-american

There is elite pitching talent falling off trees on the west coast. This is nothing new.

I would not having a problem with Blake dean or will Davis taking over this program in 3-5 years with Theriot as hitting coach/ associate HC and a solid pitching coach. Just food for thought

It's not Dunns fault that PM doesn't want to develop a 3rd starter. The Johnny Wholestaff during the week is why Dunn can't develop a Sunday started.

The ignorance is strong with this.

I would certainly like for CPM to find a legit hitting coach before we start another training season, but I otherwise find your post to be embarrassingly off target. Referencing the ALL WORLD team that we eliminated last year is comical.
Lost hitting coach without time to find a proven replacement. Lost the key piece of our pitching rotation. Have been without our already young starting lineup all year.
I’m disappointed also, but not yet to your delusional stage.

I know nothing about you and can already assert that you are far worse a poster than CPM is a coach. You need to go.

This thread probably wouldn't exist if he didn't get
hurt last year. But this is the Rant.
