BK’s whole problem was that his “process” was based on having Notre Dame’s cupcake schedule where you could afford to get better as the season went on and only had to focus real planning on 3-4 games a year.

Gotta be honest I don't remember struggles against FCS teams, we blew out all the in state FCS teams we played. Don't really remember struggles against mid majors either, LA Tech last year was about the only one and he was already fired by the WKU game. Even the 2023 defense pitched a shut out vs Army.
Not that it excuses the other valid reasons the dude was fired justifiably, but I just don't think this was ever a reason.

What LK just did with the timeout, just isn't in BK's makeup, and even if he tried it, the entire team would know it was fake. BK was a fraud coach.
