And in the process of putatively "showing" that point, the original post completely disregards the fact that Saban inherited a 2-9 team coming off of a decade of total futility that hadn't won an NC in forty years, whereas Miles inherited a team coming off a 9-2 season two years removed from an NC. Like I said, an offensively stupid post.

LOLOL. This is a perfect manifestation of the delusion that pervades this board. No credible, rational human being believes that Miles is a better coach than Saban. And the evidence simply doesn't support the conclusion. Saban has 3 NC's, Miles 1. Saban has 3 SECCs, Miles 2. Saban has 1 overall undefeated season, Miles 0. Saban leads the head to head 4-3. Those numbers will likely become even more lopsided in a month. Now, what evidence suggests that Miles is a better coach? Oh yeah, wishful thinking.

Here's a scary thought for some to consider:
maybe Saban is a better coach than Miles right now because Alabama is the better program. Maybe if Saban stayed here, he would continue to go 9-3 or so, and Miles at Bama would be 4 for 4 by now.
And still eating our grass.
And we'd have ten thousand pissy "fans" whining about how uptight our egomaniac coach is, and want us to find someone carefree and quirky (and unpredictable) as the new Bear, Les.

I don't debate that Bama's coach is the best in college football.
Is that all it takes to make a program strong...you just need a coach to get you to be a top ten team, and then it stays that way forever and ever? If anyone can win at LSU then why have we ever had down years?
