That sucks, because he’s a GOOD one.

Get healthy young man and roll it back next year. If rehab goes well, he will be an anchor at DE next season.

Huge loss

Those of you naming replacements are clueless how big of an impact Reliford had

One has nothing to do with the other, frickhead.

We have some young DEs who may be able to step in to provide depth with high-end talent much the way he did last year.

Shanklin looked the part at the end of southeastern. I know it was Southeastern, but I wonder if they scratch the redshirt plan. He probably has the most potential of the rest of the edge guys.

Shanklin may become impossible to keep off the field. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him start grabbing some rotation snaps after the bye week.

He's likely going pro after next year the redshirt is meaningless

Damn, really didn’t see this coming with an upper body injury to a DE. And then thought for sure Green was done but we’ll get him back before Reliford lol.

Wtf.

Oh no… now we only have Patrick Payton, Jack Pyburn, jimari Butler, & Dylan Carpenter

Why the attitude and eye rolling? Everyone knows we have depth ya queef. Most of us are bummed for the kid who won’t be able to play for the rest of the season

That might actually cost us the season

Reliford is a nice player, but his stat line isn’t irreplaceable. 8 total tackles(4 solo) and no sacks. That said I pray he has a full recovery.

What has he done to suggest he’ll go pro after next year?

Rotator cuff surgery is very painful and long recovery,…..even for a young athlete. I feel bad for the guy.

Will be interesting to see how they make up his snaps. I wouldn’t mind seeing Gooden kick out to take some of those reps. Could get Mathis more snaps in that scenario if Gooden gave 10-12 of his snaps at DE. They have plenty of options.
_______

Gooden is in the correct spot.

We still have Payton, Pyburn, and Butler that are starter level talent, and 3 or 4 backups with Shanklin looking good in limited minutes. I hate that Reiliford is out right when he seemed to be putting it all together, but the depth is there. We have definitely put together a quality roster on the Dline.
