Did the league office cost you the Troy game because Troy is in Alabama?

OP is sad and pathetic. The fact this has so many upvotes is an embarrassment.

No, the OP is correct. The fact that you disagree is what is pathetic. LSU has had horrible calls go against them or not happen in past Alabama games.

The most well-known it the Patrick Peterson non-interception. LSU team saw the interception, everyone watching the game saw the interception, the announcers in the booth saw the interception, but somehow the idiot replay guys getting to watch it over and over in slow motion didn't see the interception.

TWO FEET and possession - yep not an interception
SEC officials under microscope because of call in LSU game
quote:

Video replays of the Peterson's play seemed to show that he caught the ball in front of Alabama receiver Julio Jones and got a foot inbounds before tumbling out around the LSU 31-yard line.

Thread from this board in November 2009 that was linked in the comments of the above article: https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/lsu-sports/summary-of-lsu-bama-officiating-errorswith-photos/16213392/

.

Back to the other team they were protecting in 2009:

The guy in white gets a personal foul penalty for his brutal block on the defenseless UF player. Luckily it was on UF's last drive and UF was able to come out on top despite the horrible display of sportsmanship by the Ark player.

https://youtu.be/jFLQGne3MBc?t=658
This video opens at the play in question. This great call was also made on the final drive of the game. The Ark guy absolutely murders the UF receiver. This was absolutely the correct call and helped procure the win for UF.

It was amazing the way the officials, I mean UF drove the ball right down the field for a TD on the final series of the game.

Another from the same game.

Not sure about the huge finger from the sky - you can look at the picture and clearly see that the UF player had a first down by a yard or more before the adjustment by the "finger".

From ESPN:
On a day when little went right for the Gators (6-0, 4-0 Southeastern Conference), Just about everything that could go wrong for the Gators did. They had four turnovers, three dropped passes, were gashed against the run and gave up more big plays in one game than they had all season. They missed a field goal and scored once in their first four trips inside the 20-yard line.

It would have been a shame if Arkansas was allowed to win that game with all of their dirty play and obvious blatant assistance from the refs.

There are lots of examples just from the LSU series with Bama. PP7 int, the triple hold on Hurts TD run last year, the "inadvertent" whistle on Beckwith's fumble return. All you have to do is recall the WVU-Pitt game in 2007 to see blatant protection of playoff favorites by a league officiating crew. It's worse in the SEC because the Bham office is all gumps.

They always seem to choke......

First of all, its a new set of players every 4 years, and recently a new coaching staff. These type of statistics or irrelevant.

We will know more Alabama after playing them.

"You usually don't win that kind of game," coach Urban Meyer said.

Urban's right you know. Unless you are undefeated in the SEC with a shot at a BCS bowl game or a shot at the playoffs, you DO NOT win that kind of game.

Even if the ball bounces our way and we play above our heads the officials will be instructed to make sure we dont escape with a W. We are a long shot with all things being equal but the wont be. Bama is a favorite for a reason but a lock because of the League office.

Nothing to see here, move along...

The three personal foul calls on Razorbacks on third and long when Florida had the ball, who weren't even on the field at the Swamp back when Tebow played is on youtube. SEC will screw underage kids to keep Uga and fema undefeated.

What's really sad are all those "bend-over-and-take-it" so-called LSU fans taking up for Bama.

Probably right, seen too many games stolen from us. They do it by killing momentum, BS holding call, ticky tack PI call, Blatant non calls against Bama seen it in alot of bamas games not just games against us.

The only way this thread doesn't end up an embarrassment is if this game ends up a one score or less game.

Odds are this game is a laugher and our fanbase looks even worse for thinking we were "held back."
